In Motion Performing Arts Center was voted
Miami's Best Dance Center by the New Times, and the Best of Miami Shores award. Offering Students
outstanding professional instruction in the performing arts, In Motion
nurtures artistic development at all levels - from beginner
to professional, children to adults.
We're also home to In Motion Entertainment, providing talent,
choreography and rehearsal space for commercials, music
videos and industrial shows.
In Motion Performing Arts Center offers instruction in the classical
concentrations of ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and contemporary, but also provides a fusion of dance styles, exercise classes, and performing arts such as: vocal/musical theatre, hip-hop, pilates, jazz funk, and ballroom. The classes are taught by outstanding,
professional instructors. These classes are excellent prepatory

Renee Rich
Artistic Director: Renee Rich has an extensive
background as a dancer, singer, actress and performer, both
in the USA and South America. As a young child and teen,
Renee was cast in lead roles for T. V. series, theatrical
plays and television commercials. As a young adult living
in South America, she became a popular entertainer in song
and dance with weekly solo guest appearances on the well-known
Latin variety show Sabado Gigante. Upon returning to the
states she then became a long-standing member in several
of Miami's premier dance companies. Her well-known versatility
in contemporary jazz, tap, ballet, modern and flamenco dance
styles has earned her a respected reputation as a dancer's
dancer. Ms. Rich has been a teacher and choreographer for
the Florida Dance Festival, the New World School of the
Arts, the Lakeland Florida Sacred Dance Conference and Florida
International University.
Since 1993 she has been appointed judge to the prestigious
National Foundation for Advancement of the Arts and a master
teacher for the foundation in both jazz and tap. For more
than a decade, she has both presented and performed in yearly
dance concerts at the Colony and Lincoln Theatres on Miami
Beach, Gusman Center for the Performing Arts, and the James
L. Knight Center in Downtown Miami.

Marie-Louise Bandres Gaschler has trained at The New World School of the Arts, Harid Conservatory, South Florida Ballet, Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Broadway Dance Center, Steps Dance Center, Boston Ballet, and the San Fransisco Dance Center/Alonzo Kings Lines Ballet. Her performing career includes soloist and principal work with Brazarte Dance Company, Momentum Dance Company, Paolo Manso de Sousa & Dancers, and an apprenticeship with Alonzo Kings Lines. Her commercial credits include assistantant choreographer and dance coach to Lil Romeo, dancing in many german hip-hop videos, lead dancer on the Cindy Margolis Show, and a televised advertisement for the Humane Society of the Bahamas in which was performed in the great Busby Berkley style. She has danced the works of Jose Limon, Martha Graham, Ana Sokolow, Peter London, Gerri Houlihan, Roberto Dias, Paula Manso De Sousa, and Michael Uttohf to name a few. Because of injury, Marie considers her "early retirement" a blessing that has brought her to perform her best work yet, choreograph and teach dance to young dancers.
This is her 11th season at In Motion. She is currently teaching creative ballet 1 and 4, directs and heads the choreography of the award winning IMPAC Youth Ensemble. Her choreography continues to be recognized and honored at the regional and national level.

Roberto Dias
is a well known choreographer and teacher in his native country,
Brazil, having created work for television, film, theater
and opera as well as various international productions including
Aida and Porgy and Bess. Roberto's training includes modern
(Horton technique), ballet and jazz. His performing credits
are extensive, including having danced in Maurice Bejart's
choreography to Ravel's Bolero. He has won two choreography
awards in the Dance Festival of Rio de Janeiro. Recently Roberto
formed the new modern dance company -- Brazarte -- and continues
to choreograph for commercials and theatrical productions
in Miami.

DeAnn Petruschke
received her training at the School of Cleveland Ballet and
later continued at the School of American Ballet, Pittsburgh
Ballet Theatre and the Milwaukee Ballet Schools. DeAnn joined
Ballet Arizona in 1995 and danced there for 4 seasons before
returning to the Cleveland Ballet. Memorable performances
include Swan Lake, Roland Petit's Carmen, Dennis Nahat's Moments,
Midsummer Night's Dream, and Mendelssohn Symphony. In 2001,
DeAnn joined the Oregon Ballet Theatre and then in 2003 joined
the Atlantic Southeast Ballet to dance a principal role in
its production of Giselle. From 2004 - 2005, DeAnn danced
with Michigan's Grand Rapids Ballet. SHe recently traveled
to China to dance in the Warner Brothers production of Casablanca,
and has participated in Verb Baller's Summer Season for the
past three years. DeAnn has also danced with Ballet Gamonet
Maximum Dance. |

Shaquan Jhonson
a Miami based dancer, singer, and stylist is also a hard hitting hip-hop teacher/choreographer
of numerous videos & concert shows for local recording
artists joins In Motion to showcase and teach his professional
hip-hop skills to children and adults of all levels. |

Nichola Harris
is originally from Virginia and was raised dancing in the "competition circuit". She has worked, interned and studied Tap at the Los Angeles, D.C., and New York City Tap Festival just to name a few. She has also been a member of the #1 nationally ranked Florida State University dance team. Nichola is known for her hard-hitting and extremely rhythmical, difficult tap style. This is Nic's second season at In Motion and she is currently teaching jazz, tap, conditioning and gracing In Motion dance teams with incredible choreography in both tap and jazz. |

Keiko Fernandez is originally from Miami. Â She received her classical ballet training with Dagmar Moradillos and at Miami City Ballet School. Â She attended summer programs at American Ballet Theatre and Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. Â She holds a bachelor's degree in science from the University of Miami and continued her dance studies while at UM with Kathyanne Guy. Â Keiko obtained a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Columbia University in New York, NY. Â She worked as a sports and dance medicine physical therapist in Manhattan as well as taught dance and exercise classes at Columbia University. Â She was also involved with the Columbia Ballet Collaborative. Â Keiko returned to Miami in the fall of 2010 and currently works as a physical therapist for Miami City Ballet. |

Ashley Moscoso
has had the privilege to work and perform with the Walt Disney World Resort entertaining guests from around the world as a mover and character performer. She performed in the 2010 ABC filming Walt Disney World's special "Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Parade", as well as additional parades such as Disney's Electrical Parade, Mickey's Jammin' Jungle, and Mickey's Boo To You Parade. |

Drew Sandbulte
was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. He started is dance training at the age of 8 at Summit School of Dance. After graduating from the Perpich Center Arts High School in Minneapolis he studied at Julliard, where he performed works by such notable choreographers as Dwight Rhoden, Jiri Kylian and Nacho Duato. While attending Julliard, Drew also had the opportunity to dance with Neil Young in honor of the Prince and Princess of the Netherlands. Upon receiving his BFA, Drew went on to dance for Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal from 2005-2007 and has been with ezDanza since its conception in 2006. Drew is currently offering private coaching and is in the process of obtaining his massage license. |

Ana Sanchez
Leaving Cuba at the young age of two years of age, Ana started her dance career at the age of four in San Jose, Costa Rica with two very well recognized classical ballet dancers from the Cuban Ballet, Fidel Herrouet and Pedro Martin. Later, relocating to Miami, Ana continued classical ballet training at Ballet Etudes as part of the company under the direction of Susana Prieto, Dagmar Moradillos, and Peter La Fox. Ana has performed in The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Giselle, Don Quixote, Les Sylphides, and Graduation Ball to name a few. |

Katie Wiegman
has had a lifelong love of dance, and has been dancing since the age of 7. Originally from New Mexico, she attended the University of Oregon as a dance major and later moved to Miami to study at the New World School of the Arts. While there she deepened her understanding of dance as an art form and in addition pursued intensive study in the Joseph Pilates method and Kinesiology. After graduating with honors from the conservatory, Katie danced professionally for several independent choreographers at venues such as Inkub8 art space and The Miami Museum of Contemporary Art. At present, she is a full time dancer and soloist for Momentum Dance Company. She has continued to advance her training in the field of Pilates and is a certified Peak Pilates trainer. In addition, Katie currently teaches private instruction in Pilates, conservatory audition preparation for pre-professional dancers, and children's ballet at Arts in the Hood. . |

Bryan Yates
was raised in Virginia Beach, VA. where his acting career began when they announced auditions for the Bayside High School play. He then performed in numerous theatres throughout the area in shows such as Fiddler on the Roof, Big River, Once Upon a Mattress, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Soon, Bryan found himself in Orlando, Fl, where he had a long career at Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, and local theateres. He performed in several parades in the Magic Kingdom, including Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade that aired on ABC. He got his first taste of puppeteering in The Legend of the Lion King. Byran is proud to say he got his Actor's Equity card when he joined the casts of Kids of the Kingdom and Tarzan Rocks! At Universal Orlando, Bryan played multiple roles in Beetlejuice's Rock 'n Roll Graveyard Revue, as well as other shows throughout the park. Additionally, Brayn has been on stage in theatres across the country and in the caribbean: a cruise ship, a riverboat in Nashville, TN, and at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, CA. for the premiere of the Disney/Pixar film "Finding Nemo". After a few years in Las Vegas, NV. where he played the role of a singing gondolier at the Venetian Resort & Casino, he moved back to Florida. |
